Facts: Between 2005 and 2007, Newcastle United experienced a turbulent period marked by managerial changes and inconsistent performances. In the 2005–06 season, Graeme Souness was sacked mid-season due to poor results, and Glenn Roeder stepped in to guide the team to a 7th-place finish, highlighted by the retirement of club legend Alan Shearer. The following season, 2006–07, was less successful as Newcastle struggled with injuries and poor form, finishing 13th in the Premier League. Roeder eventually resigned, and Sam Allardyce was appointed to lead the club into a new phase.
