Facts: Newcastle United's 2007/2008 season was a mixed bag of highs and lows. Sam Allardyce started the season as manager but was sacked in January 2008 due to poor results and replaced by Kevin Keegan. Keegan's return brought initial excitement to the fans. The team finished the season in 12th place in the Premier League, which was below expectations considering the talent in the squad. Inconsistency plagued their campaign, with notable wins but also disappointing losses. The squad featured notable players like Michael Owen, Shay Given, Obafemi Martins, and Damien Duff.
