Defects: This shirt has a small mark above the 'n' of the sponsor. There is slight peeling to the print across the back of the collar and soke loose stitching on the collar also. Please see photographs. 

Facts: Newcastle United's 2008/09 season was a turbulent campaign that ended in relegation from the Premier League, marking the club's first drop to the second tier since 1989. The season was characterized by instability, with four different managers—Kevin Keegan, Joe Kinnear, Chris Hughton (caretaker), and Alan Shearer—failing to stabilize the team amid internal disputes and poor performances. Off-field controversies, including clashes between Keegan and owner Mike Ashley over transfers, further destabilized the club. On the pitch, inconsistency plagued the Magpies, with injuries and lackluster form from key players contributing to their struggles. Despite late efforts under Shearer, Newcastle finished 18th with just 34 points, sealing their relegation on the final day of the season with a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa.
